| We
are a community of fifteen households located on a unique piece of land in
the village of Saugerties, New York. Our land fronts on the Esopus Creek,
which is navigable from our dock out to the Hudson and the world. We live
cooperatively, sharing the management of the community we have worked to
build and regularly sharing meals together in our common house.
Life at Cantine's Island
