Sep 14 – CLASS “A” UNIFORMS FOR FIELD PARADE
08:30 AM New York Mets vs. Atlanta Braves Trip – We
will meet at the Fire House to board bus and depart at 09:00 AM
SHARP. There are a few tickets still available if you or someone
you know is interested, $50.00 for Ticket, Bus and light refreshments
to & from. Please contact Mr. Ferrigan for info at 336-5118.
Sep 16 – CLASS “A” UNIFORM
7:00 PM - Troop Elections and Patrols formed. Review
Troop Leadership positions that were handed out and be prepared to
state you intentions for position you will seek. Also at this
meeting we will finalize plans for the Camp Sikorsky Trip. Ice
Cream to be provided.
Sep 23 – CLASS “B” UNIFORM
5:30 PM – Darren - Meet at Sawkill Fire House and Hike up through Red
Pepper Valley with integrated First Aid Skills and Rescue. Bring
a small daypack for water, snack, flashlight and jacket. Also at
this meeting we will finalize plans for those boys who are not going to
Camp Sikorsky and are interested in doing some orienteering/small stove
cooking at Mr. Naccarato’s Camp.
Sep 26 - 28 – CLASS “A” AND “B” UNIFORMS & PACK
2008 CAMP SIKORSKY TRIP
1:45 PM - Meet at Sawkill Fire House and load-up to depart for Camp
Sikorsky at 2:00 PM SHARP! Mr. Gorman will be the trip leader, so
please address any concerns with him directly. Be sure to have
your prerequisites completed for all MBs you have elected, Class “A”
uniform is required. Spending money will be needed for your meal
on Friday evening. Please make returning pick-up/drop-off
arrangements with Mr. Gorman or Mr. Patzner at time of drop-off.
Sep 27 – CLASS “B” UNIFORM
08:00 AM – For those not going to Camp Sikorsky, we will be meeting at
Mr. Naccarato’s Camp to do some orienteering and small stove
cooking. If you have a small portable stove, be sure to bring it
along with your favorite camping meal if you like and stay for
lunch. Be sure to bring a small daypack for water, snack, and
jacket.
Sep 30 – NO MEETING – SCHOOL HOLIDAY
Oct 07 – CLASS “A” UNIFORM
7:00 PM – Dan - Requirements, Scout Skills and Merit Badge night.
Every Scout should have 1 Required MB and 1 Non-Required MB active at
all times. Plan on doing so if this is not the case; see Mr. Lou
for Blue Cards.
Oct 14 – CLASS “B” UNIFORM
7:00 PM – Austin - Camp Site selection, Tent Set-Up, Leave No Trace,
Knots. $30.00 Due for those going on Horsemanship MB weekend
Camping Trip.
Oct 21 – CLASS “A” UNIFORM
7:00 PM – Tyler - Plan and rehearse skits for Halloween Party.
Finalize plans and menu for Horsemanship MB Camping Weekend.
Oct 24 - 26 – CLASS “A” AND “B” UNIFORMS & PACK
HORSEMANSHIP MB CAMPING WEEKEND – APRIL ACRES RANCH
4:00 PM - We will meet at Sawkill Fire House and pack gear in the Troop
8 Trailer, departing at 4:30 PM SHARP. Please make returning
pick-up/drop-off arrangements with those adults driving.
Oct 28 – CLASS “B” UNIFORM – Costumes Optional
7:00 PM – Joe & Austin - Halloween Party. We will be inviting
Pack 10 WEBLOS to join us and share in our Campfire. Snacks &
Drinks will be served.
Nov 04 – CLASS “A” UNIFORM
6:00 PM – SPL - Senior Patrol meeting. All Patrol Leaders and
Scouts holding a Leadership Position should attend. Troop
Committee meeting will run at the same time for all Committee Members
and any Parents wishing to attend.
7:00 PM – Joe - Backpack Night. Bring your full Pack as if you
were going on a camping overnight hike.
Nov 08 – CLASS “B” UNIFORM – SCOUTING FOR FOOD
8:00 AM – Meet at the Home Plate Deli parking lot for route and bag
distribution.
1:30 PM – Cirque Du Soleil – Wintuk Show at the Wamu Theater in Madison
Square Garden. The Bus will depart from the Sawkill Fire House at
2:00 PM SHARP! This will allow time to do a little NYC
sightseeing; shopping or dinner prior to the show that begins at 7:00
PM, with the bus departing directly after. Tickets to this event
will be $85.00 each and include Ticket, Bus and light refreshments to
& from. Please contact Mr. Ferrigan to reserve your seat now
at 336-5118. Flyers are available at meetings.
