have handed out to all Boys, the earlier the better. Discounted
Fee of $260.00 must be PAID BY APRIL 29th MEETING. Please feel

Yankees vs. K.C. Royals game left, please submit your reservations and
pass along to friends/family. Tickets are $45.00.

at the Fire House to work with those Scouts working on the Fly Fishing
Merit Badge, be sure to bring your Blue Card and gear.

>>On-going at Burnt Swamp in Rosendale with the Lower Esopus
River Watch.
Apr 25-27 – CLASS “A” AND “B” UNIFORMS & PACK
11:45 AM Great Adventure Camporee – We will meet at the Fire House to
pack gear in the Troop 8 trailer and then depart at 12:00 PM
SHARP. If you are going to be working on the offered Fire Safety
or Forestry Merit Badges, have a Blue Card in-hand and try to have the
preliminary requirements I handed out completed (can be finished back
here if needed).
Apr 29 – CLASS “B” UNIFORM
7:00 PM Bike Safety, Dutch Oven Cooking & Fire
Building.

All late submissions will be subject to the FULL PRICE of $300.00.
May 6 – CLASS “B” UNIFORM
6:00 PM Troop Bike Ride – We will meet at Dietz
Stadium and ride through the Historic Uptown Kingston Stockade
District. The Bike Ride will end at Friendly’s on Washington
Avenue for Ice Cream, please be sure to bring along some spending money.
May 13 – CLASS “A” UNIFORM
6:00 PM Senior Patrol meeting. All Patrol
Leaders and Scouts holding a Leadership Position should plan to
attend. Troop Committee meeting will run at the same time for all
Committee Members and any Parents wishing to attend.
7:00 PM Regular Program Meeting – Scout Skills and
Merit Badge Requirement night. Every Scout should have 1 Required
MB and 1 Non-Required MB active at all times. Plan on doing so if
this is not the case; see Mr. Lou for Blue Cards.
May 20 – CLASS “A” UNIFORM
7:00 PM – Collections & Hobbies Night. Identify a Scouts to MC the
upcoming Court of Honor.
May 26 – CLASS “A” UNIFORM, U.S. & Troop 8 Flag Set
12:30 PM – Troop 8 will be attending the Kingston Memorial Day Ceremony
at City Hall at 1:00 PM and then Marching in the Memorial Day Parade
that follows commencing at 2:00 PM, concluding at Dietz Stadium.
We will meet in front of City Hall; Parade line-up will follow on
Andrew Street. Carry harnesses will be provided and Scouts may
take turns carrying the Colors. Mr. Gorman and Ms. Jackson will
be leading this event.
May 27 – CLASS “B” UNIFORM
6:00 PM – Troop Fishing Derby at Onteora Lake. The Troop will
provide Pizzas & Bait Worms, Patrols to bring Chips/Deserts &
Drinks.
Jun 3 – CLASS “A” UNIFORM
7:00 PM – Troop 8 Court of Honor followed by an Ice Cream Social &
Beverages provided by Stewart’s and Troop 8. All families are
encouraged to attend.
Jun 10 – CLASS “B” UNIFORM
6:00 PM – Annual Troop 8 Family BBQ and Softball Game at the Fire
House. Hot Dogs & Hamburgers will be provided by the Troop,
families are asked to bring a Dish or Salad to share.

Jul 13 - 18 – CLASS “A” AND “B” UNIFORMS & PACK
2008 CAMP TRI-MOUNT BOY SCOUT RESIDENT SUMMER CAMP
10:30 AM – We will meet at the Fire House and pack gear in the Troop 8
Trailer, departing at 11:00 AM SHARP. Scouts MUST be picked up at
Camp Tri-Mount on Friday July 18th at 4:00 PM, unless other
arrangements are made. There is a BBQ that Friday evening at Camp
(fee required, see Camp packet). This is open to Parents &
Families, followed by a Camp Fire, departure at your own discretion
thereafter.
