WASH YOUR HANDS IN DECEMBER

December 4-10 is
National Handwashing Awareness Week

Did you know that washing your hands is the single most effective way to prevent the spread of disease? During cold and Flu season (re. now), handwashing is even more important to help you maintain your good health.

According to the Center for Disease Control (CDC), the following handwashing protocol will help you fend off contageous diseases:

  1. First wet your hands and apply liquid or clean bar soap. Place the bar soap on a rack and allow it to drain.
  2. Next rub your hands vigorously together and scrub all surfaces.
  3. Continue for 10-15 seconds or about the length of a little tune. It is the soap combined with the scrubbing action that helps dislodge and remove germs.
  4. Rinse well and dry your hands.
