WHAT HAVE YOU DONE FOR YOU, LATELY?
Do a little something for yourself... today and every day.

We all have "to do" lists whether they are in our heads or we write them down...

  • Do the laundry
  • Cook a meal
  • Take out the trash
  • Walk the dog
  • Shuttle the kids to soccer practice
  • Go to the ballet recital
  • Pay the bills
  • Etc. etc...

But what do you do to nurture yourself so you can continue to give so much to those around you?

Put Yourself on Your "To Do" List

Rudy Grotzer, a longtime client of Bodymind Massage Therapy, takes time each morning to do a set of stretches and has been doing so for over 20 years! He says that the stretches have evolved over time and he has omitted stretches that no longer serve him and has added new ones that he feels like his body needs. Really listening to what his body tells him is one of Rudy's secrets to his longevity, health and happiness.

Well - it's not a secret anymore, Rudy!

The set of stretches that Rudy has come up with work great for him. What stretches feel good to you? Play around with some gentle stretches and see what feels good - remember to not overstretch... stretch just until you feel it.

Listening to your body and mind is a great way to take time for yourself, whether is is by doing stretches in the shower with the warmth of the water helping to limber you up, taking a walk if you are feeling stiff or stressed to get your blood flowing and body moving, sitting quietly for a few moments and meditating or reading a book, or getting a massage - these are all great ways to do something for yourself. Even if you can only take a few moments - relax, enjoy and check "ME" off your list each day.
