FROM NEW PALTZ TO NEW ZEALAND
...and back again.
OK
- show of hands... who wants to go to New Zealand?
(Helen's hand pops up into the air and waves frantically without
a moment's hesitation, as I'm sure did your's). This was pretty
much how I first heard about an opportunity that is offered through
Rotary International
called the Group
Study Exchange.
A
select group of four young business people are selected each year
from Rotary districts around the globe to act as goodwill ambassadors
representing their small corner of the world in another region
while learning all about the host area. In 2007, Rotary Districts
7210 (Hudson Valley Region, NY, USA) and 9940 (Wellington district,
NZ) are exchanging and I have had the good fortune to have
been selected as a member of the team!
I will be
traveling to New Zealand on February 28th and will be returning
within the first two weeks of April after about five weeks of:
-
Giving
presentations to Rotarians about the Hudson Valley's opportunities
for Art and Culture, Outdoor Adventuring and Complimentary Healing
modalities
-
Meeting
New Zealanders at work, at play and in their homes
-
Enjoying
vocational pairings so that I may learn about the healing
arts in New Zealand
-
And
traveling throughout the country to witness some of the
spectacular sights, sounds and smells that country has to offer
During
my visit to New Zealand, I will be learning many wonderful things
that I will bring back to my practice for the betterment of my clients
as well as myself. Needless to say, I'll be out of the office for
a little while but I hope you'll be as eager to hear about my travels
upon my return as I will be to share them! You can get an up-to-date
accounting of my trip on my
New Zealand blog while I am away at http://helenwilla.blogspot.com/

I
would like to introduce you to Alice Madhuri Velky,
a Licensed Massage Therapist and
Registered Yoga Teacher with over 15 years of bodyworking experience.
She is gentle, effective and kind hearted, and I have confidence
that she will meet your needs in my absence. She will be seeing
clients in my office on Mondays, Tuesdays and Fridays during my
brief hiatus throughout March and the first week of April and can
be reached directly at 845-797-4124.
Additionally,
I would like to encourage you to make an appointment for yourself
now for when I return as I expect to be very busy during
that time and want to be available for as many of my clients as
possible.
